Race Night

Just a reminder that the Society is holding a Race Night on Thursday April 28th (the evening before the Royal wedding so hopefully you all have the next day off!)

This is now being held in the Sports Bar at Selex Sports Club, Gardiners Close, Basildon starting at
7.30 p.m. and friends, family, hangers on are all welcome to attend, with tickets at £2 per head .

For those who have not attended such an event before, eight races will be shown over the course of the evening on which bets can be placed. These are normally on horses but who knows what may occur?
Winning bets will be paid out on the night, and there will also be prizes for the owner of the winning animal.
Such evenings are always light hearted and good fun, and as well as a bar, food will also be available from the Club.

Even if you can't make the evening why not contribute by either sponsoring a race - at only £5- which can be called whatever you wish (as long as it's polite!!) or choose to buy a horse at £2 each which again you can name whatever you wish.
